Will you wear made in Nigeria shoes?

Christian Louboutin

It's the current fad! Celebrities, both African, and International, love their Christian "Loubs" Louboutin so much they wouldn't mind crippling their legs just to show off the amazing red soles. Loubs are pricey and not for everyone.
It is a common practice for Indigenous shoemakers especially in Nigeria to put made in 'Made in China' or Italy  logo for them to sell their products. Isn't it high time we patronized our own as we already do with music and clothing. I've met some very creative shoe designers in Nigeria who are discouraged because of the many misconceptions about our shoes. These designers couldn't be bothered anymore, and as usual the Italy stamps are all over their designs.
If  talented Nigerian shoe designers come up with something spectacular, original, of a high quality, but produced in Nigeria with the bold logo  'Made in Nigeria' on it, will you buy? A nagging question?
