Original Dida skirt |
This skirt is typically dyed yellow, red and black derived from plant roots, leaves and minerals. They are no longer made and can be found in museums.
I found a modern take on this skirt from Proenza Schoulder Open-weave cotton-blend macrame skirt Outnet- £2,392.
Africa don't appreciate their own that's for sure. Why on earth did they stop producing this? Who pays over 2k for a skirt anyway?
