Indigenous African: Faso Dan Fani Cloth

I doubt we need reminding of the rich fabrics Africa can boast of. I wanted to know more of Burkina Faso's textiles and stumbled across this art of weaving. Continue to


This heritage from Burkina Faso is considered an expensive buy. They collect cocoons in the bush, boil them with wood ash,  followed by the dyeing process. To weave stripes, Tuntun silk is used.
This fabric is rare, a beauty to behold and worth celebrating!
