Indigenous African: Fulani Gold Earrings
You will certainly feel something is missing with your outfit if you aren't wearing earrings. The art of wearing earrings is thought to have started over 5,000 years ago. In Ancient Africa, earrings were given as part of traditional bridal dowry gift. They were a symbol of wealth, social status and power. Babies in Africa
have their ears pierced immediately after birth as part of tradition.
The Fulani's, one of the largest groups of nomadic herders in Africa, created one of the most interesting pieces of jewelry in history. Known as Fulani Gold, these earrings have the wow factor written all over them and have proven very popular with modern fashionistas as they are mostly out of stock. The fulani version are usually heavy so they are tied with red rope.
If the traditional ones are big for you, you can go for the smaller westernized version. Find them here
Super gorgeous earrings! Do you like?
